When a Merchant Asks for Access to their Apple ID/ADA

When requested by merchants who cancel with us, we are able to transfer an App (or App name) to another App provider, however, we cannot provide a merchant with direct access/control of their Apple ID/Apple Developer Account. Below is a broad answer to send to a merchant. Contact Emily if you need a more specific/detailed answer.

MESSAGE FOR MERCHANT:

The Apple ID and Apple Developer Account that we assisted you with creating required specific TLS access necessary to manage and maintain your App services as your App provider. Unfortunately, because it is tied to TLS proprietary information (that cannot be removed or disconnected), we are unable to transfer this specific Apple ID and Apple Developer Account to you.

If you wish to continue App services with another company in the future, you will need to create a new Apple ID and Apple Developer Account that is not tied to TLS. We will reserve your App store name for you so that if you wish to use it in the future, it will still be available to you. Once you obtain a new Apple Developer Account, we can transfer your App store name to you.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We understand that navigating Appleā€™s requirements and policies can be complicated but we are happy to help explain and answer any additional questions you may have.

Thank you!
